Atlanta - Wilmington

I arrived in Atlanta the 8th of August to pick up the plane the next morning. It was in the EPPS workshop at Dekalb-peachtree Airport to have a TAS system installed.

I was in for more than a 2 day delay, as the staff struggled to get the system to work properly. Twice I had to go back into town to find a hotel and wait it out.

Finally on Friday the 11th. I was ready to go late in the afternoon. I had planned to stop in Lynchburg because it was about halfway to Delaware - and because there is a restaurant on the field.

As I did not got going until the afternoon it was dark - and late by the time I touched down - and I only just managed to get fuel, as they were closing down for the day.

After a bit over an hour, I was on my way to Castle Rock in Delaware. I was awry to fly past Washington and just circumventing all the special airspace there. The airport at Castle Rock was not manned, as it was now after midnight, and I turned the approach lighting on by radio.
